NHL Stats and Records

Another important part about the history of the hockey is the history of the players, and their statistics. Here, I have compiled some of the major statistics of players and teams in the NHL. Enjoy!
Wayne Gretzky
A player receives a “point” in hockey when he is involved in a goal scored for his team. He either scores the goal or assists it, meaning he gave it to the person who scored. A player also gets credit for an assist when he gives the puck to the person who gave the goal scorer the puck. Here are the top 10 point scorers in NHL history.
1.       Wayne Gretzky- 2,857 points
2.       Mark Messier- 1,887 points
3.       Gordie Howe- 1,850 points
4.       Ron Francis- 1,798 points
5.       Marcel Dionne- 1,771 points
